Dear Parents, My name is Mrs. Campos, and I will be your child’s fourth grade teacher this year. I am very excited and happy to be a part of the Saint Louise de Marillac School community. I am working with a wonderful faculty and staff where communication and collaboration with them is key to improve learning at Saint Louise de Marillac School. I am pleased to be working with such great people. I have met many of the incoming fourth grade parents all whom have been very warm and welcoming. I am very happy to see how involved the parents are in their child's education. Together we will help your child succeed in the fourth grade. I have many exciting things planned for this school year and am eager to implement them.I will be spending a lot of time with your child this school year and therefore would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. I attended Catholic school in the Pasadena area and is where I gained my appreciation for learning and teaching. I am a strong believer and supporter of Catholic education and for this reason I choose to teach in a Catholic school setting. I am married to a wonderful person who is also a product of Catholic education. We have a beautiful Golden Retriever named Hunter whom we view as our fur baby and love very dearly. Together, we enjoy going on hikes, playing at the park, and going to the beach.
My education includes having a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Multiple Subjects, a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics, a California Professional Clear Teaching Credential, a Cross- Cultural, Language and Academic Development certificate and a few summers ago I took a TESOL ( Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) class and earned a certificate of completion. My official teaching career began teaching for the Pasadena Unified School District as a third grade teacher. Since then, I gained many years of experience teaching in the primary grades all the way through the junior high level in both public schools and Catholic schools. Additionally, I teach English Language Arts and mathematics online to students living in China. I am a firm believer that no matter how long a teacher has been teaching, we are always learning and improving on how to meet the needs of each child in the classroom. As teachers we must continue to adjust our teaching styles in order to keep current with educational trends, curriculum, and technology. For this reason, I attend workshops when given the opportunity and complete my own extensive research on teaching methodologies to make sure that your child reaps the benefits.
I am very interested in conversing with you regarding your child. I provide several ways for you to contact me. You may contact me through email at [email protected] or Class Dojo. We can also set up a conference if you would like to meet and discuss your child. Students will also be able to contact me through Google Classroom if they have any questions for me.
We will be working together in building your child’s academic and spiritual experiences. Therefore, I will need you to support my academic, homework, and behavior policies throughout the school year. I look forward to meeting with you throughout the school year.
Thank you for your support, Mrs. Campos Fourth Grade Teacher Saint Louise de Marillac School
